Youth and age

1. In my opinion it is impossible to create a close tie between the old and the young. Our society in Lithuania is very apathetic about that. Nowadays young people have many activities and also have to hurry up if they want to do everything they need. From time to time, they visit their grandparent in case to show that they care, but they must do much more than this. It is known that old people need attention, but a lot of young people care only about themselves and then about general activities.
2. It is not truth. Many young people love being with their grandparent and other old people. It is good when they are able to help each other. The elderly have wisdom, which is very useful for the youth.We have to remember that one day we will be just like our grandparent are now.
3. The best way is to be tolerant for different generation. The younger generation should understand and always suggest their help for the elderly. The older generation should take care of the youth and also accept the youth of today.

Mixed marriages

One of the most interesting type of marriage is the mixed marriage. It is a marriage between two people of different races or religions. Mixed marriages between races and religions are becoming increasingly popular nowadays. There are many couples in the world, who are very different to each other and somehow live together. We can find advantages and disadvantages about this type of marriage. 

Firstly, there are some disadvantages of this marriage. Many people do not accept when their family members need to marry a person from foreign country. It is very hard to believe that marriage with people who you do not know very well would be happy. The problems of mixed marriages often include resistance from family. One of the biggest problem is children. Couples with different religious beliefs may not agree on which faith to teach their children. Mixed marriages are based on the problems children would have to face because of their parents' decisions.  What is more, it is very difficult to choose the country in which you have to live with your spouse. Every person needs to be near his home, his family and live with his own traditions and culture. However, woman generally chooses the way of her husband and then leaves home. Families never know what to do in situations like this, they cannot stop the choice, so the last thing they can do is to wish them luck. Also, friends may have the same issues as family members, and may react by ending the friendship. That is why mixed marriages should be really judicious. 

Secondly, there are some advantages. Mixed marriages allow each other in the couple to learn about one another's cultures, religions and race. It is important for the couple to talk about each other's beliefs and values. Becoming a partner in a mixed marriage means to start new life and to know much more about different viewpoint.  The history of the race and the family rituals and celebrations become part of each partner's world. In mixed marriages often include a new country or even a new language. Moreover, it is very interesting to meet different person and to experience something new. It is good for people who like to travel around the world and are not afraid of challenges. Other religions’ people sometimes can be very acceptable for you. Also, the person you choose can become a part of your family. It is the start of new generation. People who created mixed marriage have children who are mixture of their religions and races. 

To sum up, there are many different marriages in the world. It is good that we all have a possibility to find the person with whom we accept to share our life. Mixed marriages are becoming more common and accepted by cultures throughout the world. It is very tolerant. I agree that in every marriage we can find advantages and disadvantages, but it only helps us to think about the right decision.

My day at university

Monday. This word can describe everything... I am so tired after everything I have done today. It is very hard to start doing works after weekend. Today we wrote a test from grammar. I think that I didn't do as much as I can, so I am not waiting for the results. Also we have a lecture of DAK, it was interesting to discuss about important things in everyone's life, such as love, dates and so on.
What is more, after three months at university I feel better. Now I know how things there is happening and it is easier to concentrate on everything. I hope that next month at university wouldn't be so hard to find time to do works in time. I will try to do the best I can!

What is friendship?

Friendship. The most important thing which is involved in that idea is two or more people those who can call each other friends. It is easy to call a friend the person with whom you spend your time, but it is very difficult to find real friends and people to get on with them like a house on fire. True friendship needs much time to make it and efforts to save it. So that is why different people,  have different understanding about friendship’s definition. I have my own understanding with some similar ideas of being in friendship.

In the first place, it is said that trust and friendship go hand in hand. Trust is the most important thing in relation. Friendship can be only long-lasting, when friends can trust in one another. The time is one of the factors which builds trust and it takes time to really know someone. It means, two or more people have to know each other very well for a long time if they want to be real friends. Because of time your patience shows how much you need to create a tie between you and your friend. Friendship can be hard work sometimes, but it is pleasure to have a shoulder to cry on later. That is why people need to find a right person to trust in.

In the second place, friendship is about true feelings between you and your friend. There shouldn’t be jealousy, suspiciousness between each other, because if you have a friend, you have a person, who will always listens to you and never tell anyone your secrets, also helps you anytime and shows an attendance to your problems. It must be mutual responsibility. When you help your friend or take a pleasure when listening to him problems, it means true feelings in relationship. You have to give what you want to get. Being with friend means being yourself, so if you can’t feel like that, you must forget the person who you met, because he is not you right decision. Friends might come and go in your life, they might make you laugh and cry, but most importantly of all, they love you for who you are.

All in all, friendship is very important mission in all of us life. If you create ties in teens and will save it till your old age, means that you did everything in right way.  It would be good work to save your friends for future. You would be happy about your efforts to find true friend, because it is very useful in different situations to have a friendship in which you can trust all your life.

What about my lecture today?

Today, we started new topic about love. We did an interesting task - wrote a paragraph about a quotation we chose from the list. I chose a quotation "Love is heaven, but hurts like hell". It was hard to write quickly, because my thoughts was disjointed. It lasts about 20 minutes. After that task, all of us changed our works with other group mates.It was interesting to see different work. Lecturer let us correct it, it was the best part of the lecture. I felt like a teacher with my own criterion to work. I found a lot of sentences which I didn't understand and didn't know how to correct it. The only thing which I was able to correct was spelling, except the words which I am not using by myself. In the future I would correct that words with dictionary. Lecture was interesting and not made a tension. I am happy about our lecture's originality.

My opinion of using blogs in writing

Blogs are the websites about everything. People are writing there to express their opinions and to share their ideas. It is very good to have a place where you can write about what you want. I think, that using blogs in lectures is very original idea. When you have a theme about what to write, it is also a chance to express your own things. It is very interesting to say what you are thinking about and to read other people opinions in the comments. I think that this lecture is not the same as others, and in this lecture I really feel different, because I have my own posts with my own opinion, it is very good experience to create texts without any rules and structure.

Learning to write

I have chosen this website (which is at the bottom of the page) "How to improve your writing skills" in case that it is very useful to know how to write better. Writing is very important for the learners of foreign languages. In this website is writing about how to start to write. There is the first step which you have to know - how to start. The information in this website is really important to understand, that a person, who wants to write, have to have an idea about what he is going to write. There is information about drafts, plans, structure. Very important thing in writing  is to take an attention to your spelling, your grammar, your vocabulary. All these things are mentioned in this website. I agree with idea in this website, that  "If you are happy with the essay now, you can turn it in for publishing". Yes, It should be done only when you are happy about what you are reading. The more you will work with your essays, the happier you will be.

English English English

I am studying at the university now, and I am a student of English philology. All the time I am trying to improve my English. It is very strange to do everything in second language. Study English is very difficult if you are not interested in this language, but I am. After my exams I realized that learning foreign languages is the best idea I could do. I am very happy about my choice. After two months of studies I started to visit websites where is all in English and it is really good for me to know new words, which can help me in English lectures. Also TV shows helps me to improve my vocabulary. The most important in language knowing is to learn a lot of words. I am doing it a lot of time. English is in my telephone, English is in my computer, I also speak in English at my home sometimes and it seems very funny to do it! I hope that learning English will be a good opportunity for me and also pleasure.
